The Avengers cast met Monday for a reading in an Atlanta theater. The goal? Raise funds to help people in Puerto Rico who have been poor since Hurricane Maria passed through Hurricane Maria at the end of September, the island of Puerto Rico received support from Avengers earlier this week. On Monday, the fine team had met in an Atlanta theater to read the classic “Our Little Town” by playwright Thornton Wilder. The event, organized by Scarlett Johansson and in partnership with the John Gore Organization, brought together many citizens who came in large numbers to see Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo ,, Frank Grillo and Maximiliano Hernandez.
In total, the organizers raised $500,000. The funds, immediately donated to the humanitarian associations present in Puerto Rico, will be used to help those most in need, largely affected by the storm.
“We are all very touched by this surge of generosity and support from the community,” said the Black Widow’s interpreter. And to add: “We knew we could count on you, Atlanta!”
The presence of the Avengers on the spot is not a coincidence since the super-heroes are turning at this very moment Avengers: Infinity War, under the direction of the Brothers Russo. Episode 3 is expected in theaters on April 25, 2018.
