Do not use the acoustic corrector to maintain the “purity” of the audio
It is one of the issues that generates more debate among fans of HiFi and home movies, as the former will tell us that changing the tone of the sound, equalize, is little less than a sin , while the latter consider that it is completely necessary to achieve the best response. Who has the reason?
Well, if you have a well-equipped listening room with flat response and high-end speakers with flat response, acoustic correction is not necessary. But as this situation does not occur in most cases, we must use it whenever our team offers it to us.
One of the fundamental missions of modern A / V receivers and more and more sound bars is to act as equalizers of our reproduction system , trying to adapt the response of our speakers to the specific acoustic characteristics of the room in which we are going to install them.
THE ACOUSTIC CORRECTOR IS ESSENTIAL TO CORRECT OR MINIMIZE THE SOUND DEFICIENCIES OF THE ROOM
For this, basically two adjustments are made: In the domain of frequency and time. The first is basically to vary the amplitude of the signals in each frequency range depending on the characteristics of the room and the speakers, trying to get a response as flat as possible .
The second takes into account the temporary response of the speakersand the room when making adjustments. That is, it analyzes how long it takes for the sound signals to arrive from the different speakers, analyzing the reflections and phases of each signal to correct them at the listening point so that we hear signals in the same phase.

Buy speakers too small because “the subwoofer will be ordered”
One of the trends that the first multi-channel home cinema systems left us a few years ago was that of the tiny cubes for high frequencies that were complemented by a much larger subwoofer that would take care of the bass.
