Xiaomi wants to earn the trust that many have placed this year in the Xiaomi Mi A1 by treating its users with great affection. The first step is to guarantee updates, we know that the Chinese company will bring Android 8.0 Oreo at some point and today we have known through their forums that we can sign up to test the beta ahead of time.
The process to sign up is very simple but before you put yourself with it, you should know that since it is a software that is not final, some things may not work well. This is the process of pretesting system updates. Let’s see how is the process to sign up and everything you have to do.
- First of all, have an account in the official forum of MIUI. Done that, we will download the application to view the forum from the mobile from Google Play.
- That done, we’ll have to locate the IMEI of our phone. If you do not know, open the phone application and dial *#060#. Write down the second number that you return.
- Once that is done, in the official application we will see that there is an option that says “Recruitment“. We select Xiaomi Mi A1, we put the IMEI and explain in the comment why we want to sign up for the beta.
If we have done all that well and before December 11 at 23:59 Beijing time (December 11 at 4:59 pm Spain time) we will have correctly opted for the beta to arrive. It is important that you put the IMEI right because Xiaomi will send it directly to your device using this reference number.
As Xiaomi wants to use this plan to polish the Oreo software, it will require us to give feedback every few weeks, in English, through the QQ messaging tool. Keep it in mind because although it is not mandatory, what they are looking for is that we help them to correct faults for when the final version reaches the rest of users.
