Since macOS premiered the apps to full screen makes several versions, I have used this mode daily to work. And, nevertheless, I did not know the keyboard shortcut for full screen on Mac. It was something I needed, but not enough to find out. Until I found him by accident.
Keyboard shortcut for full screen on Mac
Activating the full screen on the Mac can be achieved in several ways. The most obvious is using the green button that all app windows have in macOS. It is located on the top left along with two other buttons that make it look like a horizontal traffic light.
However, these buttons are not always visible. In fact, in the full screen mode of macOS are hidden. This is why a full-screen keyboard shortcut on the Mac comes very handy. The correct combination is the following:
- Press the keys ^ + Cmd + F (Control, Command and F keys).
With this keyboard shortcut, you will enter and exit full screen mode on your Mac in most apps. If there is an app that can resist you, you can try in System Preferences> Keyboard> Keyboard Shortcuts and add your own key combination in the section dedicated to third-party apps. The result is shown in the image above, which I have added as an example ^ ⌘F.
