Sony has taken advantage of CES 2018 to announce a new short-throw projector belonging to the Life Space UX product line. It is the model LSPX-A1, a team of generous dimensions and outstanding technical features that nevertheless continue committing the same sin as similar devices of the brand: having an exorbitant price beyond the reach of the common user.
We are in front of a projector that uses new generation laser lightingtechnology to achieve a virtually infinite contrast (provided that we are in the right conditions of visualization) but that despite being short shot will require a generous room given its great size of 1.255 × 559 × 470mm and weight of 75 kilos.
It uses the already traditional Sony SXRD technology to offer 4096 x 2160 pixels resolution in recommended diagonals of about 120 inches to about 25 cm. of the wall and with a light output of 2,500 lumens . But in addition to the image, it stands out for integrating an enveloping sound system into the projector’s own body.
For this purpose, it has been chosen to incorporate what they call Glass Sound Speaker that recreates 360 degree effects from vertical columns by vibrating two tweeters placed on the legs of the furniture. It is also accompanied by a subwoofer and three conventional speakers for medium frequencies including a central channel dedicated to center the dialogues.
Price and availability
The new projector of short shot of Sony will arrive to the stores in spring by an impossible price of 30,000 dollars, enough superior to the rest of his conventional 4K models of this year.
