A unique experience
For the Vikings, the aurora borealis was the armor of the Valkyrie warrior Virgins, which emitted a strange flashing light. For us it is an almost extraterrestrial spectacle of those that leave you speechless, of which you have to contemplate, at least, once in your life. Do it in these spectacular hotels immersed in nature and get the perfect experience.
Artic Tree Hotel (Rovaniemi, Finland)
Only a month ago the Artic Tree Hotel opened, the perfect combination for those who are looking for design, comfort and contact with nature. Enjoy your fireplace, your private sauna and, above all, your views.
Hotel Svinøya Rorbuer, Norway
The nights are exciting and the days short but active if you stay at Svinøya Rorbuer. In the 67th parallel, the night takes up most of the day for weeks. It is time to gather, to sit near the window, watch the sky in case the northern lights give us their cosmic dance. Also to go out of ‘hunting’ in your search, accompanied by experts who know where they will be best observed tonight and how to photograph them, and cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, paddling in kayaks , exploring fjords where birds nest curious and refuel the whales, to make barbecues on the beach under the stars… In the parallel 67 winter offers adventures of the most fun. You are in Lofoten, in northern Norway, on the small fishing island of Svinoya. You feel at the end of the world and, although you actually are, your room, one of the thirty rorbus -the traditional fisherman’s cabins- of the Svinøya Rorbuer hotel, is located in the center of the port, just a bridge away from the capital of the region. Here you can eat the much appreciated local fish at the Børsen Spiseri restaurant and, from the window, keep an eye on the northern lights by illuminating the Lofotveggen mountains.
Iso Syöte Hotel (Syöte, Finland)
The Eagle View Suite by Iso Syöte lives up to its name, and allows you to practically suspend yourself in the air to look at the northern lights in your eyes. Thanks to its walls and its roof made of glass, you can see them from the bed, from the sofa… or from your private jacuzzi! But there is more: the suite also has a sauna and fireplace, and its two floors are separated by a tree whose branches house the “nest” in which you will sleep. Booking in three, two one…
Aurora Dome (Harriniva, Finland)
The glamping reaches a new level in more luxurious and original shops-igloo Aurora Dome. Its transparent walls will allow you to blend in with the surroundings, a unique landscape on the shores of Lake Torassieppi, while you take refuge in its chimney.
Ion Hotel (Selfoss, Iceland)
At the foot of Mount Hengill, in wild territory, rises the Ion Hotel, which will make you feel like you are on another planet… even if you are only an hour away from Reykjavik. The 5 Million Star Hotel (Flotferðir, Iceland)
A bubble in the middle of nature, which stays inflated, hot and silent. There are five “rooms” to choose from, and from all of them, the views of the Northern Lights are spectacular.

Attentive to your news!
Sorrisniva Hotel (Alta, Norway)

At the Arctic Snow Hotel you have two possibilities: either stay in your hotel ice, or in one of its wooden igloos open to the sky through a glass structure, which have an alarm that sounds every time you can sight aurora borealis. In both it is quite cool, but if you choose the first option, prepare to spend between 0 and -5º with sleeping bags for extreme temperatures, combined with reindeer skins! As even in Lapland know that you have to be very brave to do something like this, if you survive you get a diploma accrediting your power. Instead,if you crave and prefer to end the night in the warm area of the hotel (they have it), you will leave the Arctic without your reward. Ohhhh…

We love TreeHotel, an accommodation full of imagination that has six rooms that rise between the trees in the form of glass cube, spaceship, cabin… Now, the striking family joins The 7th Room, a house in the spectacular tree designed at the top and with a glass roof so you can enjoy the nocturnal aurora. On the outside, it seems that almost is not, because it is lined with an image of what the forest was like before it was installed; inside, all the Scandinavian luxuries you can imagine and that naughty point that distinguishes the hotel: a terrace crossed by a tree, whose floor is a network, from which to climb fearlessly to the cup… or where to sleep under the stars.
