The British manufacturer McLaren Automotive has just presented improvements for much of its range Sports Series, highlighting in particular a new Sport Pack for the most refined model of the offer, the McLaren 570GT, which also receives five Design Edition customization packages.
This series of improvements, some of them available for some time in the McLaren 570S Spider, now reach the rest of the family to give it many more possibilities of customization. As we have said, the one that introduces the most modifications is the 570GT, so let’s see it.
To begin with, the 570GT is now equipped with the carbocerámicos brake system and, in addition, customers who want the most comfortable and luxurious model in the range to be as precise as their brothers, can equip the so-called Sport Pack, with the same dynamic adjustments as the 570S Coupé and Spider.
And is that the 570GT was designed as the most used option in the day to day, thanks to a suspension with less rigid springs than the rest of brothers and a direction not so fast to gain stability at high speeds. Apparently, some customers asked that the GT be as sporty as the others, so this is the best solution that Mclaren has found, even if it goes against the philosophy of this GT variant.
Sport Pack and electrochromic ceiling
This sports package includes a recalibration of the steering system, components of the suspension inherited from the Coupé and Spider, and sports adjustmentsfor shock absorbers, ESP and steering, to be at the height of these two. In addition, the Sport Pack adds Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tires , with a total cost overrun of 4,900 pounds (about 5,500 euros).
Another interesting novelty for the 570GT is a new electrochromic roof developed by McLaren Special Operations, whose opacity can be varied depending on the preferences of the driver. This option is added to two other tinted ceilings (conventional), in green or dark gray.
On the other hand, McLaren launches five Design Edition packages for the 570GT, which combine exterior colors with interior designs, so that they come out cheaper than choosing the color and the interior combination separately. They are available in white silica with brown and black interior, Pacific blue with black and cream interior , silver Blade with brown and black interior, Fire black with black and sand interior or Storm gray with black / almond white interior combination.
From now on, the colors Curacao blue, Vega blue and Sicilian yellow will also be available , three interiors with specific design and new alloy wheels in 10-spoke design and black brake calipers. In addition, if the rear view camera is equipped, the video signal will now be displayed on the TFT screen of the instrument cluster itself.
To finish, the so-called Track Pack designed for circuit will still be available for the 570S Coupé, although now with six different designs for the interior finished in Alcantara and, in addition, the rear spoiler 12 millimeters higher – which was previously exclusive to the Track Pack -, now it will be standard in all the Coupé of the Sports Series range.
